Meet the S7 Cast!

So you've read the books (or perhaps the excerpts) and you have a general idea of the colorful characters in the Shinobi 7 universe. Here on this official blog, you'll see exclusive character profiles, fictions, and comics involving Sector 7 and the whole cast. But first, get to know the ringleaders in the circus! 

~Kuroi Kaze~

The leader of Sector 7, Kuroi is the only one in the team who's not considered fresh meat. He had been at the Kitsune Clan three years before the others joined, two of those years he was the only member of Sector 7. Kuroi quickly shifts from being the loner of the school to being the mentor of five untrained newbies. He's easy to anger, loves to beat down and brawl, and pushes the buttons of all those around him. 

Name meaning: Kuro (黒) (or Kuroi) is a Japanese word for the color "black". Kaze (風) Fū or kaze, meaning "Wind".
Age: 19-20

 ~Tabitha Meko~

A sugar obsessed teen who's got the curiosity of a cat. Puns intended. Tabby is the middle girl of Sector 7. She joined the Kitsune Clan to escape the war and hopes to see a peaceful time in Shaaku Den. It may seem like Tabby is a primadonna, but she actually pays more attention to detail than what she's given credit for. She takes her role as a soldier in the ninja school very seriously and will fiercely protect the ones she holds dear. She carries sugar packets around with her and eats them in secret when she needs inspiration.

 ~YamiTsuki~

Yami is the youngest boy in Sector 7 and older brother of Luna. He's a gentle boy who prides himself of being a bookworm and always wants to learn and experience new things. He's sensitive to his teammates and others, and for that, he's very well liked. However, this is also why Kuroi and Hanran take it upon themselves to be Yami's mentors and often tell him to "be a man." Yami tries his best to ignore these comments. 

 Name: Yami (闇) is the Japanese word for "dark", "darkness". Tsuki (月) is the Japanese word for "moon"/"month". Yami's meaning is intended to be "Dark Moon" 闇月.

~Luna~

The youngest member of Sector 7 and the youngest in the Kitsune Clan. Luna is Yami's little sister, a lively girl who's dream is to become an "awesome-kick-butt-ninja". She's hyper, always positive, and says the most off-kilter things. She's in love with the ninja clan life and hopes to one day have the awesomeness of a grandmaster. Although Luna is rambunctious and ridiculous, she's also determined to do what's right. At the end of the day, her teammates can rely on her to get the job done. 

Name: Luna is Latin for "moon" and is often referred to as a Luna-tic. 
Age: 8 
Standing: Kitsune Clan, Sector 7, caretaker of Jeff the Lizard
Weapon of choice: Her fists
Chances of surviving a zombie apocalypse: Hard to say. The zombies may not want Luna to join in their hive-like minds. "OOH, I SEE A BRAIN. WHOO-HOO!"

~Hanran Nigaru~

The middle boy of Sector 7 and the truest ninja of the group. Silent, brooding, and as social as a rock, Hanran is the ultimate observer. He's proficient in his kusari-gama weapon and carries it around with him everywhere, period. It's no secret that Hanran has a dark past but he won't say a word. The door to the skeletons in his closet are staying shut. As shady as he seems, Hanran is slowly learning to accept his other teammates. It seem that he has a soft spot for Teruko Cassie, but again, he won't say a word. 

Name Meaning: Hanran (反乱) means "rebellion", "revolt". Nigaru means (苦る) "to feel bitter", "to scowl".

~Teruko Cassie~

The oldest girl in Sector 7 and the most shy. Cassie was a happy and normal girl living with her family— until Blackthorn attacked her village and left her as the only survivor. Cassie's only resolve was to join the Kitsune Clan in order to become stronger. However, her kind heart and gentle spirit proves to be a challenge for the violent and gritty world of the shinobi life. Despite this, Cassie remains strong, and constantly proves her fellow peers wrong. 

Name meaning: Teruko (照子) is a Japanese feminine name meaning "shining child". 
Age: 16
